It’s my go to and I like it. There are definitely others and probably ones that are more detailed. I often assign chapters from it for my undergrad students
My favorite is in chapter 13 of “The Craft of Research” (4th ed) by Booth, Colomb, Williams, Bizup, & Fitzgerald
