What they passed is arguably worse. Now the minister can ban them by SI and parliament are barely going to get any scrutiny. They should have rejected both the Lords amendment and the government's proposal.

I didn't think the Divine Comedy song was biographical!
Sorry, shouldn't have trusted the Google summary. Ian Murray then. Thanks.
With no cabinet minister at DCMS, do we know who's running the consultation for the government? I'm assuming Chris Bryant as most senior appointee?
I won't stand for this Jamie Kennedy erasure!
Who am I kidding? Bloodlines was terrible and that casting was abominable. I suspect Cold Day In Hell would work fine without him and he's not in Shrieked Island so maybe 6.5?
RIP Chris Rea. Hard to sum up my feelings on this one. His music's always been a huge comfort. Suspect the tributes will be full of Driving Home... references, but I'd rather go with a slightly indulgent To The Memory Of A Good Friend - www.youtube.com/watch?v=iI0k...
Fucking HELL
Can Lord Sewell tell the rest of us how to get yhe mirror universe TV feed he's watching?
So that should be 50. If anyone wants to quibble over "not indie", go play Balatro, or Endless Space, or Evil Genius 2: World Domination (hey, we're an independent studio, even if I wouldn't exactly call us "indie"!).
And finally, Anchorhead (store.steampowered.com/app/726870/A...). It's a text adventure at heart, but the world is well-built, the story is exceptionally well told, and the gameplay is plenty forgiving. I've clearly missed the Steam release so I might have to revisit. 51/52
I loved Emerald City Confidential (store.steampowered.com/app/37260/Em...) even if it managed to delve deeper into the Oz lore than I was aware of. It's another solid point-and-click and the worldbuilding here is great. Noir Oz should have more exposure. 50/52
Another puzzle game, Tetrobot And Co. - store.steampowered.com/app/235980/T...
Again, I had fun with this one. 49/52
MacGuffin's Curse (store.steampowered.com/app/58230/Ma...) is a puzzle game with a werewolf. The story's solid and the puzzles aren't too stressful and I enjoyed my time with it. 48/52
I love the Tex Murphy games, for all their dumb humour, noir trappings, and weird near future worldbuilding. Tesla Effect (store.steampowered.com/app/261510/T...) is the most recent / most polished if you want to test the waters before playing Pandora Directive or Under A Killing Moon. 47/52
I really enjoyed DONTNOD's weird combo-building arena brawler / platformer / adventure, Remember Me (store.steampowered.com/app/228300/R...). I'm not sure it quite manages great, and as a studio they've only gotten better at storytelling, but there's something fun and satisfying here. 46/52
The other grid-based dungeon explorer on my list, Legend Of Grimrock store.steampowered.com/app/207170/L...). This one's really fun and doesn't have quite the frustrating level of boss-fight that the sequel does. 45/52
Honestly, any of the Harebrained Schemes Shadowrun games are worth a look, but lets start with the first one, Shadowrun Returns (store.steampowered.com/app/234650/S...). It's a solid grid-based/turn-based strategy game with tied in roleplaying and I love the world. 44/52
It's programming and optimisation: the videogame, in SpaceChem (store.steampowered.com/app/92800/Sp...). It looks like a puzzle game, but you're really just optimising bits of code, so it occasionally feels like I'm just doing my day job, but it is good at teaching the basics. 43/52
I have a soft spot for Starbound (store.steampowered.com/app/211820/S...), a sort of Terraria-like with space-travel and an infinite variety of planets. I'm not sure it's actually good, but I've had a lot of fun tinkering with it. 42/52
Firewatch (store.steampowered.com/app/383870/F...) manages to do a hell of a lot with a single voice on a radio. The sense of isolation and the environmental storytelling in this "alone in the woods" story is wonderful. 41/52
Darkest Dungeon - store.steampowered.com/app/262060/D...
It's very easy to get into a negative spiral in this game but the motley crew of "heroes" you can recruit are a joyous mix of combinations that keep the roguelike interesting to dive into. 40/52
Lume (store.steampowered.com/app/105100/L...) has a wonderful aesthetic where the world is actually hand-built models. A point-and-click with all the fun and foibles you'd expect. 39/52
AER Memories Of Old (store.steampowered.com/app/331870/A...) has a lovely art style and some wonderful exploration mechanics for its weird fractured world and its ancient dungeons. 38/52
The Sexy Brutale - store.steampowered.com/app/552590/T... - is Groundhog Day crime solving. Keep reliving the crime until you can piece the timeline together to work out who-dunnit and how. 37/52
The first of Mimimi Games' pausable-realtime strategy games, Shadow Tactics: Blades Of The Shogun (store.steampowered.com/app/418240/S...) is still a really great example of the genre even if Desperados or Shadow Gambit might be more polished. 36/52
6-degrees-of-freedom shooters don't come along all that often but Overload (store.steampowered.com/app/448850/O...) is an extremely good example of the genre. The combat's slick, the environments are never too confusing but make good use of the freedom. I loved this. 35/52
Any of Wadjet Eye's games are worth a look but I'm calling out the first of the Blackwell games, The Blackwell Legacy (store.steampowered.com/app/80330/Th...) if you're looking for somewhere to start with a solid point-and-click with a strong story. 34/52
I could have picked several X-COM-likes, but I went with Phantom Doctrine (store.steampowered.com/app/559100/P...), a cold war spy thriller, as worth a look. 33/52
I loved Mages Of Mystralia (store.steampowered.com/app/529660/M...). Even if I'm rubbish at the combat, the spell construction from various elements was really clever and the world itself was really fun to explore. 32/52
Two Point Hospital - store.steampowered.com/app/535930/T... - is a great resurrection of older Theme Hospital-style strategy games. The construction mechanics are simple and easy to use, and the characters and hospitals are colourful and fun to watch. 31/52
