Dopamine, chasing the highs. I do think they have a point that Directs set strange precedents, and it might be better to step away from that. It was simpler when we had E3, but that had it's own share of caveats of course. I think it's a consequence of Gaming as an Industry that people go this way.

I do get it, it's part of creating an engaging character, but the subtle bad faith Toriel has is very interesting. I think she's interesting because of these things, but she's got problems, just clearly.
Like, lady, I imagine you'd be fuming if you CORRECTED someone calling Asgore your husband, and they STILL refer to him as your husband. Like, it's a weird standard to hold OTHER people to, especially in her position. Like, clearly Rudy and Carol have tension, Toriel should UNDERSTAND here.
Alright, trash talking Toriel because I just recently processed one of the odd exchanges she has in Chapter 4. Like, there's a lot of irony to unpack in the way she holds Rudy to his marital commitment. All the while dealing with a guy who is WAY too stuck up on that same form of commitment to her.

Looked into this series after the announcement. Big convoluted multi-media franchise by the sounds. After playing the Fuga games recently, I was certainly eager to see the announcement. Still really glad for people into .hack, will have to monitor this one myself to see if it'll be up my alley.

Absolutely do NOT give your ID or face scan on Discord. It's even worse than expected. Apparently due to people bypassing current systems, they're switching to "persona" which is funded by fucking Peter Thiel.
It's also a major factor in why I'm more drawn to smaller IPs, even if they don't really have the budget to be making anything remotely close to a spin-off. Identity feels less tedious of a discussion typically.
Oh yeah, that's definitely a part of it. Some people having a very rigid stance on what an IP SHOULD or SHOULDN'T be. To an extent, that's what fuels the discourse around 3D Zelda's BotW formula, alongside most "series identity" topics, especially with big games. Why Spin-offs ARE a cool concept
It's not QUITE the hugging someone to cry I was envisioning, but I'm SO happy with this. Malt getting in a happy cry just warmed my heart immensely, after everything he's been through, he needed it. All the kids need it.
I finished Fuga 3. What a ride this trilogy has been, though I definitely still have a lot to do in this game. And I might as well do all I can. I love it, and I'm probably going to be hard watching for anything Little Tail Bronx in the future. It's all so wonderful.
My best guess is that these are just more people who don't like RPGs. Basically the type of people a lot of big AAA studios point at and say "Turn-based RPGs are a dying genre" as some lazy excuse to not put actual effort in that direction.
These people DO contribute to that image.
I've heard the movie described as straight baiting. Wonder if they didn't want to commit because of the whole anthros of different animals thing, would be the most loser reason ever, if unsurprising. Hilarious seeing different people talk about this movie as someone who hasn't watched it.
