I’m glad we are starting to take a few more from longer range. It’s the nature of those shots that some take deflations (just look back at some of the City goals against us in recent years), but I don’t see that as a negative.

Eventually there will be a change in officiating out of play stuff, but when it happens it will be prompted by the wrestling matches that take place for every corner.

When things get so out of hand while the ball is out of play, the only way to deal with it is to allow the officials to act.

It is a bit of a loophole though, because there are situations where teams want to take a quick free kick because they have a runner breaking, but you can bring down (or at least block) the runner as long as you do it quickly before the kick is taken.

You are assuming that VAR would have corrected all of those decisions and would’ve have reversed the one the ref got right.

Problem is, I wouldn’t trust VAR to get some of those right either and it could well have overturned the one which wasn’t a mistake. #NUFC

To be fair AI just asked the ref what happened.

The thing is, apart from those big ones there were just as many other smaller decisions that were as clearly wrong but not as important.

It felt like the officials decided if they kept flooding us with bad decisions we would forget the ones that had gone on before.
