Not found...I put a hold on it at the library. It's an on-purpose-in-the-wild photo :-)

and bookmarks can always have a life beyond promotion...like actually being used as a bookmark

I think both work!

I found 'teacher-ish' wording of "Multimodal texts": communication materials that integrate two or more, modes such as written language, images, diagrams, or spatial layout to create meaning. -- which sounds very similar to your visual cue suggestion. And yes - thinking it will add to accessibility

Um #kidlit peeps...would you call putting newspaper articles in type font and with a thin border (in a fiction MS) a visual tool or a writing tool?

Trying to make it sound fancy and educational in a letter to editor...but in my head it's coming out as "it'll look cooler for the reader"
