USAID public servants lost our careers, pensions, and healthcare. Some lost their homes. Some lost their children’s tuition. Some colleagues died by suicide. Now we learn our Social Security numbers were stolen and exposed too.

It’s unlikely we’d know if individual military members are refusing orders they perceive to be immoral or unlawful, but it’s clear this admin has generated enough confusion and purged enough senior leaders that military loyalty to the Constitution first is in jeopardy.
We’re stumbling into autocracy

Ted Lieu: “A foreign hacker likely has the Epstein Files — the best way to prevent blackmail of government officials, such as Trump & Howard Lutnick, would be for AG Pam Bondi to stop the cover up & release all the Epstein Files as required by law”
Meanwhile, in Vermont…
People are getting gassed for protesting ICE. Yep, that’s still going on. America sure is great, isn’t it?

A photo of a primary school in Minab struck in the first day of U.S.–Israel attacks against Iran on March 5, 2026, overlaid with the headline, "Pentagon Report: U.S. Military Fired Missile at Elementary School in Iran."
U.S. Central Command attacked the school based on long outdated coordinates for the strike provided by another defense agency, one of the officials told The Intercept. interc.pt/40qCS2w

ICE abductions of noncitizen journalists like Estefany Rodríguez "take the reporters best equipped to cover immigration enforcement off the beat," we told @the-independent.com.

Sen. Murray: "I'm just sickened by this. To go into this war unprepared, to use outdated data, and to have this horrific thing happen where children were killed in a school sends a horrible message to those that are in a war with us and to our own constituents about what America's values are."

NEW: DHS is requesting access to the government’s “most powerful people-finder system,” which contains the name, address, Social Security number, employer, and salary or wages of every employed person in the country — as well as sensitive information on children and domestic violence victims.
Freedom is not free, but this indefensible war of choice has nothing to with freedom for Americans, Iranians, or anyone else.
A clown car of incompetents is killing for money, power, attention, and personal enjoyment at inflicting violence.
People should feel betrayed by “thought leaders” who couldn’t recognize a 50 year track record of lies, fraud, abuse of women, and incitement to violence

This admin systematically dismantled the national security leadership of the US and chose to fight one of the largest state sponsors of terrorism and producers of offensive drones for reasons no one understands.
We don’t have the leadership or capacity to defend against the threats they’ve incited.

5/ And on the Strait of Hormuz, they had NO PLAN. I can't go into more detail about how Iran gums up the Strait, but suffice it say, right now, they don't know how to get it safely back open.
Which is unforgiveable, because this part of the disaster was 100% foreseeable.
(Reuters) - The U.S. Navy has refused near-daily requests from the shipping industry for military escorts through the Strait of Hormuz since the start of the war on Iran, saying the risk of attacks is too high for now, according to sources familiar ..
