What an amazing day out campaigning in Leicester for the by-election in Stonygate on 19th February. It's time for change, it's time for hope, it's time for Green.

awful AI shitslop image of a train in a sort of Scottish looking city that's blue and has a logo on the side formed of a lightning bolt in a thick circle
that same logo in its original blue and red colours, which happens to be the literal flag of the British Union of Fascists
Top tip: to avoid having the British Union of Fascists logo on the side of your mock-up train, don't use horrible text-to-image AI slop instead of actual designers and artists.

๐ธ The flying banana made a visit to Nottingham, as part of the ever important task of track monitoring! 15/01/26.
A good train livery should "flow" when passing at speed and be instantly recognisable. Think Shinkansen, the original TGVs or Intercity Swallow... This would turn to a blurry purple mush at 125mph!
In all seriousness though, GBR had a great opportunity to come up with something timeless, that played on our railway heritage... But they pissed it up the wall! What happened to the regional identities thing too? It appears the GB News Express will be standard across ALL ROUTES!
Good to know that Tommy Robinson is head of the GBR design team...

A diagram to show where potential future tram expansions may run to. The new tram line is shown in blue.
In my free time, I quite often enjoy making public transport diagrams. Here is one for Edinburgh if the trams were expanded and the South Suburban Line was reopened...
Greens all day long! You know shit has hit the fan when the co-founder is boycotting her own founding conference and the "united left" are split between team Zarah/Corbyn...
A silver and turquoise Alstom Citadis tram stops at a single track stop in Nottingham. In the background is a bridge and the whole station is surrounded by greenery!
Cinderhill must be one of the quaintest tram stops in Nottingham...

BREAKING: European Sleeper will start a Paris-Berlin sleeper train from 26 March 2026, after Nightjet pulls out in December.
It'll run via Brussels (with Eurostar connection from London) 3 times a week. This + existing train = Brussels-Berlin 6 times a week. www.europeansleeper.eu/paris

photos of a stunning, modernist underground station with a tweet reading: "Sydney's Gadigal Station has been named by the Prix Versailles as one of the World's Most Beautiful Passenger Stations for 2025. The prestigious global design awards commended the station's innovative architecture, sustainable design, and seamless functionality."
People can and should have nice things.
If someone writes a report saying "we build transport that is too nice and that's why projects are expensive and that's why we don't build more of them" then not only should their analysis be discarded as junk but they should be pilloried.
A pair of Class 756 FLIRT trains in the light grey and red livery of Transport for Wales wait at Taffs Well station. The station sits in a valley and is equipped with accessible lifts to complement the level boarding found on the train.
The South Wales "Metro" is local rail as it should be. Frequent, accessible and user friendly. There's even the option to pay contactless like on the tube... It's difficult to see how just 5 years ago, this network ran using Pacer trains, but the investment has clearly paid off!
I love Zack but he really ought to distance himself from the dog torturer - nothing but a plastic socialist!
The same can be said for buses! Let's enforce headphone wearing while we're at it... Having to listen to the drone of someone else's Tiktok feed adds a whole new layer of stress to what would otherwise be a peaceful journey!
I want to know how much this thing cost... Was it comparable to the price of a Rustlers in 1999?
Earlier this year, I too was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. Knowing this has given me so many new insights and understanding about how I function as a person and who I am! Please keep being you, no matter what! โค๏ธ
Me too! The usual Eurostar livery of blue, white, yellow and grey is far more attractive than this... I'm sure the new stock would wear it well too!
Still, always positive to see expansion of the most sustainable way to go abroad! Eurostar wants to grow their passenger numbers by over 10 million... This is only good news in my books ๐
For the first time since 1949, the UK will be served by double decker trains, this time based off the TGV-M soon to be used by SNCF! It's frustrating that the best train we can get here is the one that leaves the country... www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
A stop at #Taormina-Giardini ๐ฎ๐น on the #Messina to #Siracusa line in Sicily. Easily winning any train-station beauty contest.
Thank you Zack, it's fantastic to be onboard!
Tackling the climate crisis and stopping our reliance on fossil fuels is the only way worsening inequality and imperialism can be finished for good, and right now, the Greens are the only party to offer this at the core of their policy...
A message from the green party sent to new members after joining.
After much consideration, I have joined the Greens! I was skeptical at first, especially with the promise of Your Party but the subsequent chaos before founding and the results Zack Polanski and his team have been delivering have shown me that Green is the way forward! ๐
Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.
Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.
Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.
Terrible idea. Not least because Abertram is an epic sounding name!
