My review with @caterinagratton.bsky.social is (apparently) open access for those who couldn't see it before:

We discuss individual differences in brain network organization and how to home in on and talk about commonalities in the face of such differences
Now officially out in NIMG: Clinical!
See it here:

#PenNLINC is recruiting a clinical coordinator / lab manager!!! Looking for someone who is good with both people + code, wants to learn to acquire + analyze imaging data. Alumni in this role have written 1st author papers + gone to top grad programs.

Interested in aging brain networks? ๐happening this morning!
Happening this morning! ๐๐
Happy day 2 #SfN25 ๐๐ง๏ธ
Check out the awesome group of posters at this nano poster group THIS AFTERNOON!
๐Happening this afternoon at #SfN25 #SfN2025 as part of a nano poster group on finescale organization of the PFC, including work from @rodbraga.bsky.social @derekevannee.bsky.social @abbynoyce.bsky.social @visscherlab.bsky.social @neurojacob.bsky.social and more!
Come see them all ๐๐๐
Interested in joining this ๐ team ๐? I'm recruiting a new PhD student. Check out this link for program and application (*due Dec. 1*) information:

Poster from D. C. Perez entitled "increased inter-individual variability in functional network organization of older adults compared to younger adults"
3) @dianacperez.bsky.social is presenting TUESDAY AM at LPB028
Diana used precision datasets of younger and older adults to individual brain network maps
โถ๏ธ she shows that variability increases across the lifespan, suggesting new models for the development of individual differences
Poster from K. Z. Kermani, entitled "Sensory-biased processing dissociates association networks"
2) @kianzkermani.bsky.social will be presenting on Monday AM at NN10 โ
He'll discuss evidence that the DAN-a and DAN-b subnetworks show dissociations in visual vs. auditory WM & attention paradigms
Image of Z. Ladwig poster entitled "Precision fMRI reveals densely interdigitated network patches with conserved motifs in the individual lateral prefrontal cortex"
1) @zachladwig.bsky.social will be available on SATURDAY PM at poster CC14
Heโll show his work using precision fMRI to identify new common network motifs in the PFC and investigate how network borders support executive function.

Huge turnout at #NoKings Urbana, IL. Had to park further away than last time, every spot was packed.
Thank you @caterinagratton.bsky.social for inviting me to contribute to this! Fascinating to dive into the causes and consequences of individual differences in brain organization.

A big ๐ to all driving this field forward (@ndosenbach.bsky.social @evfedorenko.bsky.social @deannajgreene.bsky.social @laurendinicola.bsky.social @gordonneuro.bsky.social @jingnandu.bsky.social ++)!
New work is coming out fast โ sorry to anyone we missed โweโd love to see it highlighted ๐

We focused on fMRI studies of ๐ง networksโฆ but thereโs so much more neat idiographic work being done in other neuroimaging & psychology domains! See @mattmattoni.bsky.social's recent review for more thoughts on uniting these perspectives

We wrap up by reflecting on this exciting โ if complex! โworld that precision ๐ง imaging has opened for cognitive neuroscience, where we are challenged to chart individual brains to discover what makes them unique and what they share in shaping our minds.
๐งต6
Do brain network differences explain behavior? Sometimes -- but we review evidence suggesting the answer is not that simple. Stochasticity ๐ฒ, redundancy ๐ง๐ง and degeneracy ๐ are probably all important, in addition to simple one-to-one mappings.
