Ditto. Just complete magic. A perfect performance in front of an amped home crowd to win a world championship in your low key comeback year?! Unreal. The NBC broadcast had Tara Lipinski being asked if she believed what she was seeing as it happened and she just sputtered out "no!" Samesies, Tara!

Finally, judging by the sequence numbers, some sequences were deleted from the end. There's no 2500 (between Mira & Zoey getting entranced and Rumi confronting Celine), no 2700 or 2800 (between Celine/Rumi and Your Idol), and no 3100 (between the final battle and the bathhouse). 21/?

The October draft has lyrics from the demo version of What It Sounds Like & even assigns some to Zoey and Mira. And yes, Free is in there, too, just like the demo (though not as much). Also, the crowd starts coming out of their trances & singing along. Plus some tweaks at the end. 20/?

Another possible remnant of an earlier version of the climax: when Rumi starts singing, the "Saja Boys stop performing" even though they already had at that point. And the script acts like who is now singing is a mystery at first. "Who is it?" Maybe at one point, Rumi interrupted Your Idol? 19/?

The October draft has the lyric tweaks from the demo of Your Idol that EJAE played on a podcast recently, plus "thank you for the pain" is "thank you for UR pain." Also, both drafts include the lines in the second verse cut from the movie, but, oddly, neither has the bridge. 18/?

Both drafts seem to have remnants from an earlier version of the climax where Mira and Zoey weren't always entranced? In the October one, Zoey "races" through the crowd before Your Idol, then in both drafts, Zoey and Mira run towards the stage and prepare to fight during the song. 17/?

The October draft doesn't specify who does what on Takedown during the Idol Awards. Maybe the lines hadn't been assigned to specific characters yet? 16/?

At the Idol Awards, when the groups pass each other in the hall, Jinu gives Rumi a little nod. 15/?

A fan on social media claims Rumi lip-synced before. Maybe at one point, instead of the earlier live performance being cancelled, Rumi lip-synced? Or maybe the fan is just a dingus and Rumi is just that good. 13/?

A small, and yet kinda not small, change: Rumi doesn't say "ew" when the vendor suggests that she is Jinu's girlfriend, which she does in the April draft. 12/?

Baby and Abs Saja each attack people during a montage of demons draining souls. An actual baby turns into Baby and he attacks the parent, and a reflection in a gym mirror becomes Abs. 11/?

There's more with the tonics. Rumi is sipping one when the girls are in the studio working on Takedown (this is in the April draft, too), then again before rejecting the message from Jinu in Derpy's mouth. 10/?

When the ladies are going down the slides on Play Games With Us, the October draft says their clothes make "fart noises," and the audience laughs, but the April draft says the sound is "nails on a chalkboard," and the crowd is horrified. 9/?

Rumi's initial freakout is a little different. She tries to talk herself down on the roof, then sings a slightly different line. She "stumbles" out of the elevator, but then laughs along with Zoey and Mira when the two do their Celine impressions. 8/?

There are barely any lyrics for Golden (occasionally called Gold) in the October draft. This makes sense as it was the last song to be locked in. Also, it was originally called just Gold. Oh, and both scripts say we would have seen Zoey dealing with bullies at school in the video. 7/?

After the opening concert, when Bobby shows the girls social media reactions on his phone, he also reenacts their battle, to their delight. I wonder if this action direction is a holdover from a previous version of the scene since it doesn't entirely make sense here. 6/?

The script tells us that Jinu is 23 and also 400. And assures us that he is hot. This is in both drafts. 5/?

Nearly every song has fewer lyrics in the script than in the final film. For instance, there's nothing for How It's Done when the ladies are free-falling. So, sadly, no "fit check for my napalm era." Maybe the songs weren't finished yet, maybe something else. Also, the crowd sees them skydiving. 4/?

This week, for their Read The Screenplay series, Deadline posted the script for KPop Demon Hunters. Read it now, and it's neat, though basically the film we got. But for an hour or two after the article went live, it pointed to an earlier draft. And there are some interesting things in that one. 1/?
