I do sth similar when reading. I read mostly English books, but my native language is German. I also read a lot of fanfic and ebooks on the Kindle.
So every now and then I end up holding my finger on words when reading paper books, hoping for a translation to pop up like it would on the Kindle. 🤣

Just to be clear, I didn't mention this for praise or anything, but just as a little reminder that there are always things we can do to help, even if they are small things:
When the current regime was voted into power in the US, I felt a deep sense of despair and helplessness from looking at what was happening across the pond.
Then I set up a small monthly donation to Trans Lifeline, trying to do a little bit to help those most vulnerable. I still have it set up. 🏳️⚧️💕🦙
