Haha. It was the BAFTA for Best Original Score, which absolutely should have gone to Jonny Greenwood for One Battle After Another, but was won (like every other award so far) by Ludwig Gorannson for Sinners.
Not too many followers on here so I can say this - Ludwig GΓΆransson is great, and the Sinners soundtrack is excellent, but there was a better one last year which should have won the BAFTA.
IMO!
That's a hell of an auto correct there.
Or if deliberate, then all the salutations should be yours.
How exciting for us to be heading off on tour with Marillion this October in The Netherlands. We'll be appearing as a 3 piece much like we did last year when out with Soul Asylum. We can't wait - come if you are motivated to.
Very excited to announce we're among the headliners at the wonderful Wood Festival in Oxfordshire this May. Wood is a gorgeous intimate family friendly festival, now in its 18th year. The lineup is packed full of amazing acts. Tickets available right now!
We are ever so pleased to announce that the wonderful Bedd will be supporting us at The Lexington on 24th March. Their album "Do Not Be Afraid" was out last year and is an absolute cracker. Tickets have been selling fast so if you haven't already, grab yours now.

It'll be a pleasure to play with Emma Hunter again, and make the acquaintance of Kit Monteith
Excellent work Maggie! Hope you found them all wonderful and life affirming
Happy holidays everyone. Here's a present - a version of R.E.M.'s beautiful song Perfect Circle, from their debut album Murmur (a favourite of all of ours), with some extra inspiration from seeing them play it on the 1989 Green tour. See the whole song on our YouTube channel.

That's lovely of you, thank you Maggie!

We're coming back to London for a show next year! Playing full band at The Lexington 24th March. Tickets go on sale this Friday 12th December at 10am, watch this space for links. It's hopefully in aid of something special that we can't reveal just yet...
This is us at the teat of another streaming multinational, this one having the advantage of paying slightly more and, more importantly, not stiffing tiny bands by only paying out on tracks with more than 1,000 plays.
If you're out there listening - we appreciate it hugely. xx
Thank you for anyone who bought a physical copy of our album this year, and thank you also to anyone who listened via any means.
We're very proud of the 3 (!) entries in your top 5 albums. This is the kind of chart that is worth being excited about
To reiterate the positive though - we are so honoured to have people listening. Thank you. Come see us live next year. It's the best way to be sure what you're seeing / hearing isn't generated by AI.
I would love for us to be able to earn enough from music that we can create more in the best possible environment so with a heavy heart we remain content providers for the Twitter of the music sphere.
Perhaps we should boycott, in the way that at least two members of the band never buy from Amazon for a host of reasons. But the fact is sptfy have a stranglehold on the market, and our absence there would only negatively affect us, not them.
But simultaneously we can be deeply ambivalent about being on a platform that treats smaller artists abominably, and floods the space with lazy AI slop to fill their own pockets.
Two things - first, we are so grateful to anyone who has taken the time and listen to our music. We hope it's brought you joy or whatever feeling you wish to extract from it.
Hope you're enjoying it Maggie!
Thanks Matt!
That is about the loveliest thing we could hear, thank you. (I actually am quite fond of the first Enya album...)
If you've not heard @untruth-band.bsky.social before, give this a listen. They should be as famous as Arcade Fire or Crowded House. Hearing them next to Coldplay makes you realise how the latter really are the Enya of indie. Slap on their quality tunes. You will still be singing along decades later.
I feel a research paper coming.
We released Almost Here Live a year ago today. Who's heard it? Who likes it? Who hates it? Who's indifferent to it? That's how the internet works, isn't it?

If you've seen Nigel's potted history of the band you'll know that Andy has an affinity for Russia. Find out more about it here, rapidly.

I can honestly say it is our pleasure
Haha. Are you saying I haven't changed? I'm just a little taller.
No chance of Andy going back there currently. They wouldn't let him in, given how intensely critical he has been of the regime, for more than a decade.
