I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.

This La Niña we’ve had has brought us warmer/dryer conditions than average, at least here, I’m not sure about there on the West Coast. But we’re expected to have a significant El Niño cycle begin later this yr, which will shift the weather patterns. We’ll see what it’s like this time next year.
If you can’t concede that the Democratic Party is the only political institution we have to fight against Republicans, despite their flaws and ineptitudes, then you’re ultimately serving the interest of the GOP/Trump administration (and the interest of authoritarian states such as 🇷🇺 🇸🇦 🇨🇳, etc.
There are a lot of these accounts claiming to be opposed to the Trump administration, but their feed is saturated with explicit attacks on Democrats.
