Those teens are also more likely in underfunded schools, without access to school libraries or professional librarians, and they likely have a harder time accessing their public libraries.

So so so proud of my kid & all the others who participated in national walkout to protest ICE. They planned, shared intel, spoke with teachers & families in advance. They did every best practice to make their voices heard & keep their community safe 💛
Hey, things are awful, we're all stressed, but it's still good to read books and encourage others to read, especially nonreaders. Reading novels can build empathy, and we could use even more empathy right about now.
