Completed a 5mile walk around Ospringe & Painters Forstal late morning/ early afternoon. Middle & Sandbark Woods produced a mobile Nuthatch along with Goldcrest, Great Tit. Coxett Wood had multiple clumps Butcher’s Broom. Great Spot & Green Woodpecker seen. 14 species added to the 2026 year list.
when i first visited capel fleet birds were plentyful 5thousand plus lapwings same number golden plover wintering ruff. lapland bunts were there if you could find them rabbits everywhere so were rough leg buzzards ,seems i was lucky to see1 skylark 50 corn bunt

Had to go over to Unst today to pick up my car that’s been there all autumn. Took the opportunity to go to look at 2 Long eared Owls, managed to find a third bird there as well!

ah bluetail for me was a Very nontickable view. but 3 yellow browed s firecrest and a lirberian young tree full of goldcrest a amazing sight today.
cmon just need rbfly ,bluetail ,palm Bay needle tail never appeared as its Kents top swift sites in oct/Nov we settled for pr eider ,shags ,3 c scoter little gull ,rtd gannets
