Hello. In the olden days we expressed our pop fandom via letters in Smash Hits/Ceefax and the like. Whatโs the modern equivalent for pop kids?

The bit where he's talking about hearing the voices of marginalized groups amongst Holocaust victims AS IF IT'S A BAD THING is actually breathtaking.
Fucking. Hell
My jaw is literally hanging open. Fuck. Ing. Hell.
I now need to check if my mother has one as well because she is a *fiend* for pointless kitchen contraptions (and I say this as someone who owns a pineapple corer).
I know you've already got loads of suggestions but this seems like the right sort of colour? www.stories.com/en-eu/produc...
Their cashmere is LOVELY as well. Proper heft to it.
Tree pose was involved.
It's still one of the most unbelievable moments in Irish legal history.

I often sit in a cafe with just a pile of random pieces of paper in front of me. Nothing on them. Just paper.
Just to add to *waves hands at everything*, Aul Lad In A Thong was doing yoga in the gym sauna again this morning.

Argh. I think it's some special rule that all scans that require a full bladder will run late (has happened to me at least twice).
Youโd really think youโd couldnโt find a way to appear to be more tone deaf about the Irish housing crisis than Darragh โresting Iโm keeping your deposit faceโ OโBrien, but a โpavilionโ at foreign investment property conference on the French Riviera?

Can highly recommend this book as a good read on the subject: www.kennys.ie/history/the-...
Would not accept "it sounds better" or "it flows better", he needed me to point to some consistent rulebook that said "that doesn't need a comma" or else I was being "illogical". It was ... not a happy experience.
The ridiculous NYT thing with Cormac McCarthy's "mistakes" reminds me of once trying to edit the World's Least Copyeditable Man. Every time I moved a comma or adjusted punctuation or reorganized a sentence he would push back with "but what rules did I break?".
I still miss living round the corner from it. A one stop street for hardware, Asian food, bespoke suits, plants, soup, gravestones, porn...
Oh they had some good cracks at it back in the middle ages.
I'm back in Beirut doing coverage of the war in Lebanon (& the wider region). Here is the first piece, about a church that is sheltering displaced migrant workers, refugees & their families: www.irishtimes.com/world/middle...
I read the book when I was also ill at home and even for my semi-feverish brain it was TOO SILLY.
I am still mad at this. One of my favourite books, with prose like it was written by a filthy, hallucinating, blood-soaked angel, and it's got "mistakes".
I can only think that they think it ought to go after "as well", making it mean "also", which is so stupid I actually feel manifestly dimmer just thinking it.
This is the last. fucking. straw. The shambling corpse of the so-called NYT is finally dead and buried.
And fucking Blood Meridian of all things! The hubris!! These idiots got in the ring with Muhammad Ali like they had any chance at all. Shame. SHAME.
Clunky. CLUNKY. Jesus Christ.
The Zoo should double down and book every drag artist in the 32 counties for the day.
A gauzy puff sleeved peach blouse with pearl bead trim. THERE ARE FRILLS.
Hi #EarlyModern Bluesky - did you know that someone brilliant has built working printing presses using Lego and they are trying to get enough supporters so that Lego will release it as a kit?
They look so cool!
