Good Dumbiedykes gets a service returning but a real shame and still a disadvantage that users can’t benefit from the capping. Surely that not justifiable or equitable in 2024? Esp when multimodal capping exists in many cities.

The station cost the Scottish Government £20million.

Passenger usage stats show that from opening day in May 2022 through to March 2024 the station has only average 343 passengers per week!

They're filming something in a train at platform zero at Haymarket just now and it's causing quite a lot of interest among us passengers. If it's not a ScotRail advert, I'm pondering how much it must cost to take a 385 out of service for a day of filming. Can't be cheap

Phase 3 of the South Sub TramTrain project proposes extending the route along a disused railway from
Portobello through Seafield, connecting to the Edinburgh Tram network at Constitution Street via
Salamander Street.

Interesting to note Phase 2 proposals includes upgrading to allow for dual-level platforms to accommodate both train & TramTrain services at selected stations.
The proposed stations are Gorgie, Morningside, Cameron Toll, Bingham/Niddire and Portobello. #Scotrail services could then use the Sub 🙌
