LNG is needed for Genesis Energy's plant in Huntly.

Whenever they fire it up, the price of energy for the whole day goes up to their agreed hydrocarbon rate.

I have no feelings either way about the success of a foreign business, but they better not be getting preferential access to NZ energy resources.

After all, the coalition decided electricity, in the form of EVs, would put too much of a strain on NZs power network should there be any incentive.

I hope they are paying full whack for each kWh
