Always excited to watch activities of mother and her calf #GreaterOneHorned #Rhino in the wild. They communicate with each other well. Mother rhino is always #protective in nature when the calf is around. If an unknown rhino comes close to the calf, the mother rhino immediately takes away the calf.

Rhinos are back in #Laokhowa and #Burhachapori Wildlife Sanctuaries in Assam through natural dispersals from #OrangNationalParks. As such orientation to frontline forest teams are crucial. Yesterday I spent a full day helping these two protected areas to enhance #rhino monitoring.
