The problem with the sports media landscape is that it is no longer about quality full story reporting. It's about pumping out content whether it's dripping information without context, regurgitating information from elsewhere or rage/clickbait content. We need to demand better.

I keep seeing people say that the move for Collision is good because it's no longer behind on a premium service, but the USA Network will be a premium channel you'll have to pay for and I have yet to see how Collision will be streamed for those of us who have cut cable...

It's days like today that make me almost embarrassed to be a #Canucks fan when fans and media freak out and take what was an armchair gm thought out of context and start running players out of town.

I've been wondering what realistic expectations are for Elias Pettersson, who since Nov 1 has 7G and 22P in 18GP. Is there another level he can get to? Yes. But it feels like fans and media are still almost insulted that he's not scoring at an even higher rate. #Canucks

I disagree with the disconnected comment. At least on the defensive side, they were scored on because of a couple unlucky bounces. Offensively they are slowly getting back there but not quite.

Last nights #Canucks game was always going to be a tough one for them, but they showed up and played hard. They are still showing warts in their game that is holding them back though.

It's stretches of hockey like this which make engaging in #Canucks talk tough for me. The team is inconsistent & frustrating to watch which makes for some overreactions from fans and media. It's early, the Canucks are in position to be at the top of the division if they can find the consistency.
