And when we've removed incentives that make EVs more affordable...like new cars are even a luxury that a lot of Americans can consider right now. We have really poor public transit options in many cities, those cities aren't walkable...and many folks live rural!
We don't have European options.
Seconded πΉ
Honestly not sure how they manage after school sports plus homework, activities, maybe a job... I know my kids were super busy during those years for sure. A lot of the issue was kids competing for scholarship $. Probably the solution is to make college actually affordable so kids can have a life.
Our kids already had zero periods for certain classes. They were starting school before 7am to get in those extras, like jazz band, that couldn't happen otherwise because sports, marching band, etc.
Now they still have zero period, but it starts an hour later.
Are you currently in high school or have a student in high school? Because around here we changed that, by what I thought was a federal mandate. High schools can't start earlier than 8:30, which pushed our elementary start time to 9a for bus route reasons. (May be a state thing, I guess?)
Iβm at the point where itβs just βdear God, PICK ONE AND DONT CHANGEβ
So handsome! Happy birthday, Captain π
So sorry. Even when you know it happens, it's rough. Thanks for giving them a warm, safe space π May we all know such care and comfort when our end arrives.
I have zero doubts π»
Ooooo π»

It's a mental health move-in π
Same.
Yay for cozy, but 77 in early March can bite me πΎ
That actually sounds really nice. We are having unreasonably warm weather, and I am not ready yet πΉ
On the up side, you are well rested today πΉ
We watched the fog come up in the wetland as we sat out in the yard with tea. It was pretty great.
Then we all remembered that we have work & school today, less great πΉ
πΏ well, rats
Staying up late to watch the eclipse...
Lynda and Stewart Resnick are finally seeing the fruits of their labor as the US and Israel bomb girls' schools and hospitals in Iran
If you're not already boycotting The Wonderful Company for their water hoarding shenanigans, now's a good time to start (FIJI Water, Teleflora, POM, and more)
That's so Duck πΉ My husband is absolutely dying here, I don't think he really believed me before but he gets it now.
My brain wants to fill in 'land shark,' but I know the answer is actually geology & plate tectonics and stuff πΉ

15 years is a good run though!
Oh heyyyyyy
Getting a new waffle iron for the birthday, so this is timely. I have celiac so I have to be careful with prepackaged stuff. DIY is always safer.
And hash brown waffles are soooo good π»
I have librarian arthritis in my hands, so the rotary grater ended up being actually less good for me than the box grater. Best solution is 'someone else does it' πΉ But this might be even better. Plus cucumbers, which my food processor kind of pulps, due to a weird spacing on the blade. Hmm.
Indeed πΉ
But if I ask Shredderman, we might be able to convert this to a need...
Oooh do tell? Husband is resident grater, but this sounds like an awesome solution for cooking when he's not available πΉ
Hahaha this was my first thought...bad parking lot? Oh, TJ's πΉ
