“Young people” you are talking about are over 30 years old. We a grown adults with real lives. We know how the world works. Powerful people get to lie and cheat and the rest of us have to suck it up and work until we die. That’s the world the politicians of the last 50 years have left us.

It’s not about age. The house is on fire and the people who stood by as Republicans poured gasoline and lit the match want us to vote for them and be grateful for the privilege. The world has changed and they refuse to acknowledge it. We need leaders who can face reality and do something about it.

Our defunded education system is failing us. AI is manipulating reality and politicians have zero accountability to facts. Those trying to stand up to it all are told to sit down and wait their turn while the 70+ year old reps do nothing. Again. Do you want more of the same?
“Take” red seats with what money and what influence? Dem Leadership insists on doing the same thing over and over while hoping Republicans get tired of liars and cheats and vote for them instead. It’s not working. Try something new. We need representatives who actual reflect the population.
Who is winning? Who controls the House? Who controls the Senate? Who is in the White House? Republicans are winning and Dems think repeating the same mistakes will work. Dems need to listen to young voters who have been screaming about their needs for years but ignored so they register independent.
Democrats have been losing power and seats for years. What are you talking about? Supporting the status quo isn’t working. The Democratic Party is less popular than the war in Iran. We are in the situation we are in because they think the same people that brought us here will get us out.
The party ultimately decides if they support an incumbent running again for a 12 or 18th year in office. They could encourage the passing of the torch before primaries even start but they won’t. They prefer to “play it safe” which is actually leading to them bleeding registered voters.
Young people are not informed about primaries and the party is perfectly ok with that. The establishment candidates they select continue to win because of older party loyalists who are retired and vote regularly. Not because they are the best option.
