This is a big one for me.
The circumventing of labour strikes via strike breaking by the Feds has been huge.
Your bosses have ways of making your worklife hell. Poor pay, demotions, relocation, etc.
As workers, we have one weapon. The removal of our labour.
Time for government to respect that.

Hey @maritstilesndp.bsky.social!
This is absolutely how you get the message across.
More of this out of the ONDP!
The social media team is killing it!
I love the Northern Ontario mention - not many folks are aware that the more that Ford wastes down south, the worst things are up here!

Aaaand it looks like it was voted down.
Turns out we don't mind transferring arms to the US for cash and fueling their war crimes, and terror tactics.

Stop Moving Right, Start Organizing Left.
The Canadian political system has long prided itself on an established system of political pluralism: multiple parties, regional diversity, and an electoral culture that allows for new currents in β¦

Stop Moving Right, Start Organizing Left
Canada is heading toward a soft two-party system while a cost-of-living gap deepens. The answer isnβt technocratic centrismβitβs a left popular front rooted in kitchen-table economics and class.

I really wish someone could explain to the vast majority of Ontarian voters that the removal of revenue generation (license plates, LCBO, etc.), is the reason why Ontario's finance are spiraling and why you're paying more for way less.
But hey, let's bring up Bob Rae and keep doing the same shit.

Natalie Wilkie cross-country skiing on a groomed snowy trail, wearing a red Canada racing suit with white maple leaf designs, a red headband, reflective blue sunglasses, and bib number 118 with the Hyundai logo and Paralympic symbol. She pushes forward with ski poles, one ski angled ahead in the track while the other lifts slightly. Snow fills the background with faint parallel ski grooves visible across the course.
Congratulations to Natalie Wilkie, who picked up bronze in Para Cross-Country Skiing today! This is her third medal, and second bronze, of the Paralympics so far!
In 2018, she won three medals (1G, 1S, 1B) and in 2022 she won four medals (2G, 1S, 1B).

Voting for the Federal NDP leadership has opened today!
I'm impressed with how smooth online voting was and that the party has embraced ranked choice.
@avilewis.ca was my 1st choice, followed by @votetanille.bsky.social.
Today was a good day, so far.

Voting has begun and I was excited to cast my ballot.
Avi Lewis and his team have built something powerful. They have raised a record amount in donations, brought hundreds of people together at events, and put forward a bold progressive vision that leaves no one behind and brings everyone along.

@rachelgilmore.bsky.social does amazing work investigating the far-right in Canada. It's terrifying the lengths they go to stalk.
The fact that our MSM and press orgs have nothing to say about the safety of investigative journalism in Canada is incredibly eye-opening.
The silence is complacency.

Ontario investigated 900 allegations of OSAP fraud last year, government says
Provincial officials declined to say what came of the probes
So, their case on the system being wasteful and fraudulent is false. If you've only found or only investigated 900 cases, I wouldn't consider that an actionable amount of fraud w this level of reform.

Btw, just in case the Ford government tries to tie its reforms to OSAP to alleged rates of fraud.
They quietly released their raw numbers. They successfully audited 900 cases of OSAP fraud.
Which is approximately 0.2% of total OSAP cases.
Disgrace of a premier.

Place your bets:
The Supreme Court says no way to tariffs.
Corps will sue the Feds for "lost profits" caused by this stupid tariff war.
Feds will pay out w US tax $$.
Corpos will keep prices at tariff levels alongside their payout.
Capital wins.
US workers affected the most get the shaft.

So...unfortunately, we're going to have to let a few hundred million of you die.
Capitalism drives our continued dive into hell. We must name power and class as the antagonist of the working class.

There have been moments in this NDP leadership race that have honestly given me hope.
How respectful - even if we disagree on certain points - each candidate has been, reminds me of a time when we had respect in our politics.

There are fountains of wealth being generated in this country. But that wealth isn't trickling down to working people. Itβs all stuck at the top.
Our 'Tax Plan for the 99%' takes on the corporate hoarding class β to redistribute wealthβ and raise the floor for all of us.
