Thank you to Paul Anastas, Miriam Diamond and Jana Klanova for a timely, dynamic session and panel discussion on Planetary Health today @aaas.org in Phoenix!
Warmest congratulations to Dr Abigail Henke, who yesterday successfully defended the PhD at Baylor University. Her developmental proteomics, animal alternatives, and comparative toxicology contributions are timely and important. Well done!
Answering these questions will not be trivial, but doing so promises to advance the science and improve the practice towards more sustainable water resource management and protection of people and the planet.
@pubs.acs.org
This diverse list of key research questions is not exhaustive; however, these priorities were generated in a transparent, bottom-up, multidisciplinary, and multi-sector manner.
In this highly unique manuscript, just published in Environmental Science & Technology, we aimed to understand, what are the priority scientific and management research questions for decentralized wastewater?
pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...
Working with NOWRA, our partners with WRF, NEHA, SORA, NAWT, and other practitioners and researchers from business, academia, local, state and federal agencies, and non-governmental organizations, we launched the Needs for Onsite Wastewater Recycling Research (NOW-R2) Initiative.
Though decentralized water, wastewater and reuse remains critical for so many around the world, and will increase in the future, it is often overlooked, under appreciated, and under supported, particularly for people in rural regions.
Horizon scanning presents unique opportunities to understand current trajectories and anticipate forthcoming developments in environment and health.
Tremendous news for the community! We warmly welcome EHP to the @pubs.acs.org family of journals.
@pubs.acs.org Conference of Editors is rolling in Lisbon
We are excited to celebrate the creative contributions by early career colleagues as they design, develop, and deliver more sustainable innovation for people and the planet.
Warmest congratulations to the winners of the 2026 James J. Morgan Early Career Award in ES&T!

What a fantastic Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry meeting in Portland, where several members of our research team presented their findings. It was a week of firsts for many of the students, such as giving their first presentation, and seeing their first snow, elk & the Pacific Ocean
Grateful for the opportunity to speak at the University of Seoul School of Environmental Engineering along with my colleagues Drs Cole Matson and Hyeong-Moo Shin from Baylor. Thank you to Professor Jinhee Choi and Dr Dawoon Jung!
