The Albanese government has so far refused to listen to Traditional Owners who have not consented to the destruction.
Now weโll see if Albanese is willing to listen to his own colleagues in the NT, who have just campaigned against the federal-led project in the Nightcliff by-election.

BREAKING: 28 Democrats are now INVESTIGATING Pete Hegseth after over 200 troops complained their commanders are pushing end-times Christian fascism rhetoric as justification for Trump's war on Iranโฆ
GOOD. ๐โจ
Dept of Veterans Affairs confirms that despite having a report with details & images of Australian war graves desecrated & bulldozed by Israel โ they have not referred it to the AFP for investigation or sought any legal advice on if it amounts to a potential war crime. #auspol
We never seem to learn from history & apparently humankind is doomed to perpetually repeat it.
Israel said on Tuesday that 2,339 injured people, including both civilians & soldiers, have been admitted to hospitals since the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran.
At least 191 injured people were admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours, the statement added.

Richard Marles refuses to say whether heโs had advice that the US-Israel attack on Iran is legal.
โThatโs a matter for the Attorney-Generalโ, he blathers.

Losing the radar systems in several countries is going to prove to be folly. Even though we might still have million dollar missiles to shoot things down, we can't aim.

Fed up with big tech? Here's the good news: we don't have to use it! There are better, safer, free European alternatives to just about everything Silicon Valley is offering, and there's nothing stopping us making the switch. So here's some alternatives.

Hi there @steverose7.bsky.social,
That was an excellent article! I love that you mentioned the Faustian pact.
We have created a full programme to get people off all big tech products - the Big Tech Walkout. Any chance you could link to it in the article?

This conversation *should* be happening between couples, friends, with children, whenever planning holidays.
Weighing up ethics, alternatives, comfort, our 'need' to fly vs humanity's 'need' to survive, extreme weather and why should we if everyone else is in denial?
#ClimateEmergency #FlightFree
Yup ๐ฏ
I flew more than my fair share, realised the impact it has and stopped. Last flight was 12 years ago. Highlands, Lakes, Eryri, Pembrokeshire, Peak, Dales, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. More mountains, sea cliffs, waves, rock and beauty than anyone can fit into one lifetime. โจ๏ธ ๐๐ป ๐ซ
Hey Kin, good on yer. Me too, flew more than my fair share (what we now understand to be 'fair'), then when it became clear that we could no longer fly *and* survive, I stopped*.
* Made the Silver Pledge in 2006 - 'try not to fly', and barely flown since.
And I've lived *a lot* since then.
So much life to live close to home. I feel much more positive about friends flying to see family in far away places, than I do them flying for adventure jollies. I don't judge and I'm still happy for them in a way but I'm not shy about putting my flying thoughts across.
Some mountaineers, knowing their flying contributes to the melting of the very snow and ice they want to climb, are like "well, you gotta get it while you still can.", and I'm like, "what about the people whose lives depend on those glaciers, you daft twunts."
