The humble beetle is one of the most diverse insect families around, and that diversity has led to some magically gifted individuals selectively breeding and infusing the creatures with incantations for use in fields that require a bit more discretion. When found, this red and gold speckled insect is kept in a dormant state until it is activated.
When activated, the beetle springs into flight and immediately Sneaks to a locked door, chest, or other locked item that you can see within 100 feet. Upon arriving, it attempts to Pick a Lock. The beetle acts as an infiltrators thieves’ toolkit for purposes of determining proficiency. The beetle is tiny in size and has an AC and HP of 1. It uses your modifiers to the Sneak and Pick a Lock actions that it takes. Beautiful flowing wings resembling that of a butterfly form the basis of this cloak that wraps closely around the body of the creature who dons it. Rippling in shifting shades of pink, purple, and blue, it is obvious that this cloak is crafted from a special weave of magically infused silk that seems especially light and airy to the touch, but is also incredibly resistant to normal forms of bladed and blunt weapons.
Activate [R] manipulate; Frequency Once per hour; Trigger You take damage from a non-magical source; Effect You cover yourself in the cloak, shielding you from the triggering strike. You reduce the amount of damage taken by an amount equal to your character level.

Getting a chance to playtest #Pathfinder2E’s Slayer for the first time and this class is GREAT.
I’ll probably put my full thoughts in a video in the near future, but the way the pieces fit together is very satisfying.
