Was for me too, consciously training myself out of it worked wonders. These days I rest my controller in my lap and even use an overhand grip to completely minimise forces on my hand. You might not have to go that far but it has worked for me. Just give your grip style some consideration.

You should view hand health as an important part of training. You might have a small performance hit at first but you will adjust, and done correctly you’ll be able to go longer before pain starts.

Most people press buttons with literally 10x the force they actually need to. Get it to about 1.5-2x

Don’t play past hand pain, listen to your body.

I spent an entire year training myself to use only the amount of force I need to press buttons and hold angles. I haven’t had hand problems since then.

Disabled folks like me could do many things to help, we aren't valued for our unique qualities in the current system. We have skills to transfer.

I want a revolution that seeks out those who fought for it and attempts to rehabilitate us into the fold. I want desperately to feel useful again, but I feel abandoned.

My memories of that time period are murky, I think I was in a long psychotic episode from too much stress and weed at the time. everything in my life felt like chaos. In hindsight, I think this was her doing, I think she created chaos on purpose. But she’s been out of my life for a while now.
