Stream of consciousness. I like to put myself in the mindset of making something that I don't plan on letting anyone see, and just do it. It's like pulling the plug and draining my brain of the gunk that's clogging it up
This puts into words how I've been feeling about this for years. It's the reason execs thinks they can get away with AI prompted scripts, reality TV, all of it.
I think I've figured out the core reason why I hate cinematic universes and live service games. They have no respect for film or video games as artistic media and view them purely as product. Any actual art that may come from either will only ever exist in spite of these models, not because of them.
