Mallorcan but also a bit Basque, and with a pinch of Britishness, a touch of Swedish and some Bosnian for good measure.

Analysis: Will emergency oil reserve release bring costs down?
Analysis: Will emergency oil reserve release bring costs down? YouTube video by Sky News

The rich world just made the biggest intervention in oil markets in modern history.
So why did crude prices barely budge?
Here's my 10m primer on the plumbing of the global economy and the surprisingly simple mathematics underlying the energy shock of 2026๐Ÿ‘‡ youtu.be/0Rl51kNQ1Og?...

Great piece as always, and the kid seems to have the right mentality (not to mention the right shots!) However, for me the big question mark is regarding his movement, and I'm not sure movement can be improved to the same extent as, say, a serve or a backhand

It must be great to do business with Trump's acolytes. They have no idea what they're buying and are *more* likely to buy something if it's brutally overpriced than if it isn't, as for them prices are just a measure of how successful they are

Easy to forget but the Portuguese "little lunch" is a carbon copy of the French "petit dรฉjeneur". I wonder which language influenced which (or if they are unrelated)

If you do quant analysis for work it feels silly to boycott AI.

I only ever program for fun and tbh I enjoy the act of programming so I still haven't found a use that wouldn't remove a little bit of that fun for me

I must admit I'm surprised that Berretini didn't hold the record. He can't be far from 90 wins himself, surely?

I do think Trump saw the tactical success of Maduro's kidnapping and thought they'd be able to do sth similar in Iran. While Hegseth saw this war as a way to show off American testosterone levels. But yes, the real push for this must have come from the Israeli tail wagging the Rubio dog.

Agreed, although I think his movement is still not good enough to win big tournaments. But that first match against Sinner should be great fun - and hopefully the first of many

Hahah! One wonders what happened there. It looks almost like an AI hallucination but then the map itself (of the bits that exist) is perfectly correct.

I live abroad so don't have easy access to piquillos but whenever we get them we make sure they get the respect they deserve.

I love them filled with bonito or morcilla. Though I must admit that filling them is such a pain given how delicate they are! Still worth it though

08.03.2026 14:07 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

So okay, hear me out: piquillo peppers don't get anywhere near the cred they deserve. Sure, jamรณn ibรฉrico is amazing and so is good olive oil and Idiazabal and so on. But a good piquillo pepper makes all other peppers question why they even exist.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Super interesting! Do we have any idea as to whether the gap between post-92 unis and the rest is shrinking or growing? It'd be interesting to see if the newer unis are catching up (like pre-92 unis seem to have done) or staying the same

It's also difficult to not compare him to Gordon Brown, a man whose stature has only grown since his time as PM

I almost agree with you but I do think its use should be limited. Give each team 2-3 changes per match and if they feel a decision is wrong they can demand a VAR review. If no team feels it's worth a review, there's really no point in VAR intervening proactively

I've been following the story with interest for a few days, truly awful. It makes you wonder how common abuse is in the kitchens of top restaurants. I hope not too common, but one does wonder...

Yeah, not quite in a minute and a half. But with a pizza steel we've brought it down to 3 minutes and almost pizzeria-level crispiness. Though tbh I still have to come to terms with the fact that I own a 10 kilo chunk of steel that can only really be used for one thing

That looks more than decent! Although I will tell you that buying a pizza steel and learning how to use it properly (the oven should be on at max power for much longer than you'd think) has been a great investment.

Also I've been saying this ad infinitum but a result like this would really take the FPTP system beyond breaking point. We'd be looking at, what, maybe 75% of all votes cast having no influence at all on the ultimate result?

I also like the idea that "smoking since the age of 8" equals "being spoiled". The childhood everyone means of!
