Okay to set a project aside to allow yourself breathing room from it. I’ve frequently completed a quilt top that challenged me and I get stuck on how to quilt it and I don’t want to “mess it up”. Set it aside,comeback when you are ready. I’ll remind self completed is much better than “perfect” ☺️

Official start to the Star Upon Stars quilt by Laundry Basket Quilts 🙌. This is the fabric pull for the first block. Each block is its own little mini quilt. I’ve pulled fabric combinations for the first 5. Trying to repeat some of the fabrics throughout for cohesiveness. #quiltersofbluesky

Practicing eight point stars so I can attempt the Star Upon Stars quilt. I’ve been working on these for nearly 2.5yrs. They always end up bubbled up in the middle. Finally got a nice flat block. Accurate cutting, heavily starched fabric, and sewing really slow seem to be helpin. #quiltersofbluesky

Never too early to start some holiday quilts. A bit hard to get in the fall/winter spirit with higher temps in Southern California. Love this pattern and sad to have learned this shop is now closed. Sad that my LQS
