Holy Christ, and I thought Palworld was blatant!

”Here, Kong, you get a nice moving story where you find your new home and have a connection to humanity and you’re generally the hero.”

β€œVery cool! Do I beat Godzilla?”

β€œYou find a cool axe that glows!”

β€œDo I… do I at least survive the fight?”

β€œOh yeah, they defibrillate you in time.”

Mutant head.

Practicing some more with penciling. Smooth Bristol is probably my favorite paper, it picks up fine marks most other papers I’ve used don’t.

Dino Dragon 2026.

Added a photoshop body to a procreate head render. The head got the same amount of time as the rest of the body, around 6 hours for each (12 total).

I feel you on this. I used to be fairly active in the Godzilla community, right up until people argued to me that the Showa era was the nadir of the series due to its inherent camp.

People aren’t always serious people, even if they think they are.

It depends, but generally I go by focusβ€” the head takes around 3 or 4 hours to detail, the neck and bust 2, each other body part is about an hour after that.

The one on the left was unusually dense, the head by itself took 9 hours.

Two D&D red dragons

This is being done scale by scale! I don’t tend to use alphas because I generally want my detail to be pretty precise and intentional.

Yeah! They become big banded horns when he evolves.

It’s been a long time, but when I was little I really liked PokΓ©mon, around when Gen1 and Gen2 were new.

A little more scalework on the practice dummy:

It’s all rotten to the core. This whole thing we’ve taken for granted is end-to-end compromised.

27.02.2026 20:41 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I don’t even want to see it. It’ll be tainted, infected by their rot.

Netflix is dropping its bid for Warner Bros., meaning Paramount’s bid is now unopposed. The presumption is that Warner Bros. will go to Paramount/Skydance.

This means the MonsterVerse, like all of WB’s properties, will be owned by a pro-fascist family, and that is not something I’ll support.

I love Godzilla x Kong, it’s actually my favorite MonsterVerse entry. This is in response to tonight’s news.

Well, it certainly sounds like it matches the quality drop, even if it doesn’t retcon anything. I just read the synopsis, and it’s… pretty unreal, I’ll say that much. They’ve got some damn nerve.

That wouldn’t, won’t be so bad. These ghouls have been begging to clot for a long time now. Let it die.

I think that was it. My last attachment to modern mainstream film has been cut. I am officially an old-movies-only guy.

I really wasn’t sure, I haven’t seen it in a long time, and the fact they redesigned the snakes to look more like their real-world counterparts cast some doubt in my mind!

This was originally the second of two commentsβ€” in the first I asked if you thought Boa vs Python was actually a crossover of Boa and Python, then I did a cursory search, found it was, felt like a moron, and deleted the first comment.

But to answer your question… I guess Tremors 4? If for no other reason than I like Tremors 4 and nothing else is coming to me?

26.02.2026 17:55 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

It did strike me watching it that there’s something decidedly non-lucid about its content. It feels like it overshoots ineptitude into full-blown surreality.

If held to the same standard as studio movies, it probably is the worst I’ve seen, but I find thinking of it as more of a home movie that went to video helps (in a way, that’s kind of what it is). For better or worse, it’s strictly unprofessional.

26.02.2026 14:41 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Not really, it just looks like it between the ugly appearance and toilet placement. They’ve got blood like raspberry gushers!

It’s a hard movie to take unironically, to say the least!

I have experienced Things (1989) for the first time.

That was an experience, all right.

It feels willful, like they have evil intentions here and I can’t figure out what they are. No way in hell they’re just this dense.

The original’s the best, but I have to admit that Critters 2 is the one I’ve always had the most affection for. Lots of puppets, loads of fun. And it’s a rare Easter horror movie!
