It’s almost as if schools still haven’t figured out how to make kids want to learn. 🤔😄

I have the same one growing in my yard! It was here when we moved here, so I wish you knew what it was called, so then I would know 😆
Or I guess alternately, providing a connection direct to Looker Studio. That’s where I’m actually putting the data.
Thanks for the reply! I have done some API work in PA, including getting data direct from the Bluesky API. You’ve already done so much heavy lifting, it’d be easier to connect to your processed data rather than reinventing the wheel. Just letting PA dl the csv export is all the magic I would need.
@bskyhub.com Is there a better way to get in touch? The only contact info on the site is to your Bluesky account, but you have DMs locked down.
@bskyhub.com Thanks for the data!! I’m using your data in a Looker Studio report. I manually download a file once a week and append to the LS data. Trying to automate that (Power Automate), but seems like it’s pretty locked down even after authentication. Any tips for a way to accomplish this?
In my very sleepy eyes, I skimmed and somehow read “Cyndi Lauper” and I was really excited to hear there would be a whole series about her 😆
Love these colors!
The best kind of pants!! 😆
I’m writing every day for #the100dayproject, and experimenting with how to share that writing. This platform isn’t great for long form writing, so I tried posting todays writing over on Medium. medium.com/@deandail/th...
Having been to a certain number of these events, I can assure you that the level of shaving required is quite minimal.
Thank you for your kind words! And you must be a fountain pen fan to recognize one with the cap still on 🥰😄
I love this as a 100 day project!
I love the color choices.
Also, the ingredients info is in your post itself, which someone using a screenreader would be able to access, so it doesn’t need to be repeated in alt text. The alt is for communicating the info that sighted people are getting directly from the visual.
I’m not an alt text expert. I think the idea is to describe something similar to the sighted person’s experience. Alt text would describe the vibe or feeling that the image communicates. Colors might be less important, while the organic feeling, crumpled paper, and feel of autumn might be more.
Text is in the alt text of the images, in case you can’t read my writing 😄
Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for! I’m playing along too, but haven’t started posting yet.
I’m totally here for 100 Days of nonsense! 😆
Does that include the local one? I thought I heard only some were closing, but ours was staying. Not that I have any love for Joann Fabrics, but with Lady Lynn’s also closing up shop, it’s a bummer to have no source for last-minute fabric needs.
Today’s art that doesn’t have to be good. Probably the first time I’ve made a collage since elementary school 😆
Me (every morning): I am really going to focus on drinking enough water today. I’ve been dehydrated for days!
Me (every evening): oh my god I’m so thirsty! Did I even drink anything today?! Like two cups of tea? Oh god I’m dying of thirst.
<drinks a whole liter of water at once>
A person’s had with the fingertips stained blue. In the background is an open bottle of ink, a disassembled fountain pen, and several drops of ink.
How you can tell that your friend who likes fountain pens was trying to do something clever.
In honor of Tom Robbins’ death, I found a book of his I hadn’t read. Half Asleep In Frog Pajamas. It was disappointing. He straight plagiarized himself from Still Life With Woodpecker, which he wrote four years prior. So it’s not like he forgot that he’d already used that one.
A cluttered art desk with a travel palette of watercolors, some paint experiments, and a person’s hand holding a small piece of black paper with watercolor doodles on it.
Been trying to make some art even if it’s bad art. The thing I’m excited about today is the black paper. I bought a little bit of white gouache, which I still don’t really understand but is some kind of opaque watercolor paint. You can mix it with colors and it makes them semi-opaque!
Also, I hope now that we’ve talked about capybaras, Bluesky will show me so many pictures of capybaras.
I got sucked in to reading an article about capybaras in The New Yorker (via Libby) and now I’ve spent all week reading The New Yorker, even though it’s not even that enjoyable but it’s too much work to pick something new. So that’s how life is right now. 🤣😭
Three small watercolor doodles. A wave, an iris flower, and a tree.
I haven’t been doing watercolor in a while, but I sat down and did a few super quick tutorials tonight. #watercolor #doodles
Preston: What are you doing? Do you want a hand?
Me: No because then I’d have to explain what I’m doing and you’d tell me it’s a bad idea and make me stop.
