As a comparison, MLQC requires 13GB and ToT 17GB, but that’s with all data resources already downloaded.

I think the complication starts with who owns the translation + English dub (most likely Elex). I guess PG could buy it back from Elex, but why should they? Elex didn’t announce eos for fun, it’s because of the barely existent revenue they generated with MLQC.

I’ve sunk €€€€ in MLQC in exchange for digital png AND THE EMOTIONAL VALUE AND JOY that’s attached to the karmas.
For me, it’s similar to getting cake or bubble tea: the food/drink is gone but I was full and content for a while. And for me, that’s worth it. (Don’t spend over your budget, though.)
Spending money IS the reason why MLQC survived nearly 7 years. No live-service game stays afloat by having f2p players only.
And also: be very aware that all live-service games end someday. Be aware of it and spend money responsibly.
Just one snide comment about the usual annoying LaD fans regarding the MLQC’s eos:
Instead of doomposting and saying everyone should stop spending money on Lad, y’all should be out there archiving everything now. If all players collectively stop spending money, you’re just speeding up LaD’s death.
paying licensing fees + server costs, they can’t keep the game online OR create an offline ver. Whereas MLQC JPN-KOR is under PG directly, hence those versions are still online with rotating reruns even though they’ve stop receiving updates for quite some time now.
Still wish Elex gave us more time…
Update: EOS for my life has been postponed, I managed to get into the server. Starting from scratch hurts, esp because I was a baby whale in MLQC, but at least I can still greet Lucien every day. :')
