My mum is sadly currently in this position. But now she’s out of hospital, at home with me, & we’ve got an incredible care support to help, she’s stopped talking about wanting to die. She’s just as disabled, but she is happier. I’m not trying to prescribe what others do. But this is our experience

It’s so very difficult to see loved ones suffer like this. Been there x

But if they had experienced better support from well funded health and social care for the elderly, and better palliative care for their parents, would many feel differently? For sure, not all would.But we need this to be part of the conversation. I’m going through it right now and it is so so hard.
