The last time Nova Scotia, southern NB & PEI saw a substantial widespread rainfall was 2 months ago, June 7-8th, with 25-40+ mm.
This departure from average map *includes* that rain & yet the deficit estimate over the past 60 days is still nearing or exceeding 100 mm for many.

Today Iโm replacing twitter with Bluesky. Twitter isnโt what it was, but crucially the owner is part of a government that is waging economic war against Canada. I think Halifax should ditch twitter too (thanks @lecwhite.bsky.social for starting that process). OโCanada.
Unfortunately not. I will send Rev. Mary Taylor the piece on Thursday so you can get it from her!
Such nice people to talk to :)

Iโm new to BlueSky and wanted to introduce myself. Iโm an artist living in Nova Scotia who loves to paint landscapes in an impressionistic style. I work mostly in acrylic and gouache. Below is a sampling of some of my recent works.

Bluesky is winning because both twitter and threads have gone out of their way to make their platforms inhospitable to reputable journalists and news. @kattenbarge.bsky.social reports:

I've been hearing about a lot of crime lately in Digby. I don't remember it being this bad when growing up in town...in fact neighbours used to keep their doors unlocked. I was speaking to my colleague from the South Shore and she said she noticed the same thing happening in her hometown.

I voted yesterday at my returning office. A worker told me there are a lot of people who are confused as to where their polling station is to vote on election day...Something I didn't know is that you can always vote at your returning office in your electoral district on election day too!
