“They” meaning Republican controlled Congress. In the next two weeks. 👍🏼
I can see Congress getting that done in the next two weeks.
DHS includes FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, CISA, etc., not just ICE and CBP.
Big Beautiful Bill
Abolish ICE for sure.
DHS includes FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, CISA and others. It’s not just ICE and CBP.
Curious what you propose to do about keeping/funding those divisions if DHS is abolished? Or do they have to go, too?
A similar “city” was planned for northern NV. 67,000 acres of land and all-important water rights had been purchased by Blockchains, a private cryptocurrency firm. But the state filed suit over the conveyance of water rights; courts then ruled in favor of the state, and the project was derailed.
Did you by any chance read Jay Kuo’s piece today (which was a correction to a previous piece) why the deal may not be a bad thing? Food for thought.

So, they’re saying we’re cool with giving ICE $100 billion, while redirecting the other $75 billion to local law enforcement—who often cooperate with ICE—and that will build community trust?
Workers come first before who or what? Retired seniors, veterans, children, caregivers, people with disabilities, the unhoused (and any others not listed)? I want a Governor for ALL Nevadans, not one who ranks us by class. Alexis Hill is looking better all the time.
The exclusion is what made me finally look for more information on Hill. I like what I see on the issues page, and am eager to listen and learn more. Although, I suggest a slogan leading with “fix our streets”, implying it’s the #1 priority, is not a state-wide winning strategy.
The exclusion of Hill from this poll made me more curious about her, so I visited her website and followed her on BlueSky. I’ve long just assumed I’d vote for Ford, but now… I’m not so sure. The pollsters might want to stop assuming he is the presumptive nominee.
We’re told that your vote to reopen the government enabled SNAP funding for another year, but then he says this. You said yourself that it’s naive to believe anything Republicans and Trump say, but then you forgot to listen to your own words.

Not to mention that Formula One is considered the “billionaire boys club”
as well as all the wealthy Strip hotel/casino owners who would lose out if the 3-day race was poorly attended. As always, follow the money.
Interesting. Tourism is WAY down in Las Vegas, which is also one of the impacted airports. The F1 race is in 2 weeks. Airlines would be counting on bringing lots of (rich) people in because locals can’t afford to attend. Could that help explain Rosen’s flip after weeks of talking tough?
She talked so tough for the last 40 days, I almost had hope. I should’ve known better.
What happens to her signature on the petition when Mikie Sherrill resigns?
It’s disappointing and incredibly irresponsible to make a snarky comment and post this headline late in the day when there were plenty of legal explanations calling this a smart and strategic decision posted MANY hours ago. Thank goodness your followers are largely more up to date.

How is this comment using Schumer as an “example?” He’s literally the one who made the offer on the Senate floor.
I’m in Nevada and have heard a LOT about him. You’re on BlueSky, he’s on BlueSky, so you can easily see/read about him even if you don’t subscribe to other social media. Apparently Amarillo is a very red city—he was there the other day and packed the house. Kinda outside the base, no?
No question reform is critical, but I’m unclear why open primaries and ranked choice voting are considered a single issue. I wonder what the previous results would have been if split into two questions.
Correction: it was 520,000+ Clark County voters (750,000+ was state wide). And by the way, Las Vegas elected a Democrat for mayor as well. But thanks again for wishing pain on your fellow citizens. Such a Republican thing to do.
Las Vegas is in Nevada, but it’s not all of Nevada. Like all states, its rural areas (90% geographically) are red.
On behalf of the 750,000+ Clark County (Las Vegas) voters who helped Harris/Walz win the county, helped elect a Democrat as Senator and 3 Democrats to the House, this is for you: 🖕🏼
