What are you doing today if not educating yourself about Puerto Rican feminism?
This piece by Omayra Rivera Crespo on feminism in PR urbanism and the contestation of space looks fascinating
Excellent, Miles, I can see you're a kindred spirit!
Theory, Culture & Society. From the e-Special issue - Painting / Knowledge: Boris Groys, 'The Border between Word and Image' - proceeding from Lessing’s distinction between poetry and visual art, Boris Groys argues that language is not external to, but resides behind, the image. (2011).

Just finished up a two-hour online discussion of my new paper on Hegel’s Theory of Rational Proof. I got a lot of great feedback and some very helpful criticism!
Best of all, I'm coming out of this discussion with a greater sense of philosophical community than I have had for some time.

Very happy and proud to share my survey on the history and philosophy of market design, I hope I'll be able to do more in the upcoming year, stay tuned, and meanwhile -- read, criticize, and use it for good cause

I agree. I've used ai a lot recently for practical questions I could google instead, but then I'd have to sift through all the hits google returns. Sometimes the ai results have been helpful, others not. So yes, there's some sense in ai deployment but not in the scale or extent predicted.
My sense from all this is that ai is going to substitute humans in jobs not because it's objectively good at certain tasks (eg coding, writing, teaching, diagnosing diseases, customer service) but because doing so will line the pockets of the tech bros. And this is very very dangerous!
Reading this now! So helpful that you provide free online reading!

I'm not surprised. Every single time I've used AI, for example to draft short texts, I've had to chuck everything out and start afresh. Ai has been useful for certain computing tasks but even then one has to double-check due to errors. In short, you have to know coding before you can use ai to code!
