I am definitely one of those people who have tuned out of the MCU - but I can't tell if this is a play to drive hype for folks like myself, or if it is just spoiling what could have been some REALLY cool surprise reveals??
With rumors of the Oblivion Remake circling around to be released in under a month - Bethesda moving forward finally has an opportunity to fix the major issue they've had with the overwhelmingly long release cadence of their major franchises.

I can't say I'm personally a fan of seeing Elden Ring DLC win so many nominations including GOTY. Just still doesn't make sense to me 😬 but looks like Astro Bot is about to win everything haha
5-6 years ago I remember getting SO excited for the event. Had gatherings to watch it together with friends to see the GOTY...now I am starting to see it more and more as a game showcase with awards thrown in. Still excited for announcements but I *want* to be more excited for the awards
The game awards will have dlcs, remakes, and remasters eligible for awards. Personally not a fan of this at all and think they should be their own category entirely. Thoughts?
I've always been partial to battlefield, so hopefully this next one really goes into the other direction cod is...but honestly getting shot by laser blasts by someone with green bat wings gets old quick. Love being able to quick jump in and out though

Honestly, Pete probably just wanted to retire 😅 but there's been many departures since Skyrim, which for a studio that always prided itself (and rightfully so) on retention is a bit shocking to see still. The rise of small indie studios with industry vets are more & more common, which is cool though
It's crazy seeing Will Shen and Pete Hines leaving Bethesda! A wild day for sure but excited to see what's coming next from both of them. Can't help but wonder if this is partially influenced by the Microsoft acquisition And the changes something like that brings🤔
Crazy that after so long this deal is finally complete!! Can't wait to see what the future holds for all of these IPs both current and "resting" :)
