This is a chilling crime. A shame on our country. The Iranian ship was unarmed. The US knew this. The sailors were murdered by our navy, and the survivors were left to die at sea.

No oil in Cuba though
I’m at that age where the only people I want around me are those who really don’t need me to be ok to be around me.
Capi cua comadre!
Yes. Borders of Dominicanidad. Chapter one. I also write about Luperon and Restauración in context of global blackness in my latest book. Shoot me an email and I’ll send you a pdf of the chapters for both.
Yes. Clearly not possible to do in a short post but I’ve written a bunch about it. Restoration is the “last” of the three independence I mentioned on the post.
The reason why today is the official Dominican Independence Day is to sustain the narrative of Haitian invasion. Is it logical that the country was under colonial rule from Spain for centuries but that the independence celebrated is the separation from Haiti after a brief unification? 2/2
Today many Dominicans celebrate independence. This is wrong.
The DR had three independence moments:
1) 1821 de facto separation from Spain. Brief.
2) 1844 from Haiti following Global North sanctions against Haiti
3) 1865 from Spain. Final and definitive independence. Aka the real one. 1/2

If someone you love is in major crisis and you genuinely want to help, don’t :
1. Say “if you need anything let me know”
2. Call me if I can help
3. Go into a lecture of why they are in that situation.
DO:
1. Offer concrete help with what makes sense.
2. Hug and 🤐
It makes you feel so lonely when people say that or like they really don’t want to help. There are so many other ways to do it.
Good morning in this snowy Monday. A reminder that prioritizing self-care, avoiding burnout, setting emotional boundaries and not over-functioning for others is healthy. However, doing so at the expense of burdening others, causing others to burn out, is unfair.
We're all sending the same $100 among each other as the rich get unimaginably richer by the hour.
If you’re in the Princeton area, do NOT miss this conversation with Chandra Mohanty and @durba.bsky.social about her new book.
For people looking into IVIG for their kiddos with #pans #pandas www.facebook.com/share/p/1F3Y...
Did you know that PANS and PANDAS are medical conditions that affect children or young people in school?
A summary guide for health professionals is available to download: panspandasuk.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/A-guide-for-Health-Professionals-Education-and-PANS-PANDAS-DIGITAL-VERSION.pdf
During a #pans #pandas flare a lot can happen to ale the whole family feel hopeless and scared. As it passes, reconnecting is key. Resources below.
Thank you.
I have a child with #pans an autoimmune neuro inflammation disorder that ruins lives, is poorly diagnosed and for which both schools and most doctors are completely unprepared. It caused my kid to become disabled. Folks should be aware and learn about this illness.
