On Saturday, March 7th Jello Biafra suffered a hemorrhagic stroke caused by high blood pressure. As per Jello: ”I hopped out of my bed because I needed to pee, and my left leg just collapsed under me and I fell to the floor. I couldn’t even break the fall with my left arm because it wasn’t working either. I tried to hop back up again, and I couldn’t. I realized I had “fallen and I can’t get up!” It was this point I thought, “Oh shit, I’m having a stroke!” I still have a lot of great stuff in me, but right now I gotta lotta of rehabbing to do.” Jello Biafra is currently hospitalized but stable. Speaking for the Alternative Tentacles family, we are all just very thankful he is okay and getting the care that he needs. We will update you all as we are able.
Apparently Jello Biafra had a stroke on Saturday. He's survived but not going to be the same again.

This is also an extremely effective strategy for anyone who, hypothetically, wants to justify criminal acts, such as launching an illegal war.
DARVO stands for

For instance: “I never pushed you! And if I did, it was because you deserved it! You’re always doing things on purpose to upset me and make me angry!”
DARVO is an extremely effective way of ensuring that abuse victims can’t stand up for themselves, because it makes the victim question reality on two levels: did it happen like I thought? And if it did, did I deserve it? This is very difficult to fight, mentally.
It recently came to my attention that a friend who escaped an abuser wasn’t familiar with DARVO, an acronym for understanding how abusers operate. So we’re all going to have a little education tonight:
