An equally important piece. Shal’yl has an open secret. All those who know what a Sayaad is in Azeroth know they have something she doesn’t have- wings. When she first became Lightforged, she wore the plates to try and heal her scars, to help her body adjust.

Another headcanon I have, is that those plates synchronise with Light based technology- those teleport beacons that work with the Xenedar, the Vindicaar.

With the Naaru being musical, I think the idea of resonating is important. Maybe that’s why the Sunwell summoned now!

Time to share some nsfw I did my self! I got the base packs from @spectr00m.bsky.social and wanted to draw Shal’yl in a pinup pose- I didn’t add as much on top of the base sketch as I could, but ultimately I was quite happy with the result! I think it’s quite tasteful.
