Doctor goes to see great clown Pagliacci and says “I’m so depressed from seeing all the illness and suffering in the world, but watching you perform has cheered me up” and Pagliacci says “Ah sick man, thanks, it’s good to know the stuff is connecting. Honestly I just try to do the kind of clowning I think I’d want to see, and if anyone else likes it that’s bonus. Although it does help to pay the bills, ahaha”

EVA Rebuilds are cool because it’s like “aye dummy, what if you fucked it all up major and everyone would leave you for dead or hates you now, but also you are probably not beyond growth, love, and a chance to change? don’t kill yourself, probably”
Miles saw Avatar: Fire and Ash (really loved it), Ella McCay (???), Lurker (loved it), Eternity (didn’t really like it), the filmed performance of Merrily We Roll Along 2025 (not a film but great), Zootopia 2 (fine).
Miles also saw Die Hard (great), Wake Up Dead Man (pretty good), Die Hard 2 (quite bad), The Housemaid (bad but fun) and Marty Supreme (excellent, loved it)
Anyway: December was a pretty great month at the movies.
My mental health has never been worse but on the other hand I am playing some of the best Tetris of my life

(daft punk One More Time voice) Auld Lang Syne
Can't imagine why the horrible bigot who played a large role in the UK's anti-trans moral panic thinks people should be required to stay in touch with toxic family members
Over here we suffer non stop all year round, baby, rain or shine
No no, it’s not seasonal depression, this is my year-round depression and it just happens to currently be taking place during winter. A bit like the “Christmas movie / movie set during Christmas” distinction, only with unending flat misery instead of the magic of cinema.
