A laser shines through 4 vials each filled with a solution containing a different fluorophore. the laser beam excites the fluorophores and creates a colorful glow in the vials. each glow has a different color: Yellow, orange and two shades of pink.
Yesterday was the JOM, a special day in Swiss schools where students can spend a day with an adult at work to discover a job.
I hosted our neighbors 10 yo girl in the lab to show her the job/life of a chemist.

IMO: all scientific researchers, their institutes/universities , their funding agencies, academic societies, and research publishers/journals should stop using Xitter. @Musk has made it toxic cesspit - we should not support it.
