Oh! Doing the cuirass tomorrow too. That’s gonna be a bigger job though, it’s in four pieces minus the tassets.
Most of the surface rust is on the front and back plackart so not too much work besides those.

A gloved arm holds up a 15th c. steel bevor (plate armour similar in form and function to a gorget, which protects the lower face, neck and clavicle area), by the upper piece. The metal has been freshly cleaned and oiled. Brass rivets line the shaped plate that fits in front of the face. A buckle is attached to the right-hand side of the bevor where the neck would be, for securing a strap.

The backdrop is a workshop desk with an opened plastic bottle of white spirit on the left, and on the right, a maroon rag behind a small glass bottle of ballistol. The desk has a black linoleum mat on it to protect the wood from abrasion.

Finally cleaned the bevor after several months of leaving it on the bookshelf. Made me realise that looking after your armour is kind of meditative in a way lol.

Will be taking it to get the strap punched this weekend ^^. It’s graduating from an ornament, to a piece I’m actually going to use.

Spaulder, rerebrace and couter, 3/4 of a complete mid-late 15th C. arm harness. These are all fluted extensively, with a chevron or ‘barley twist’ pattern. This was a common decoration found on plate armour in England and Northwestern Europe.

Sneak peek at what I’m picking up from my armourer next month ^^ He still has to finish the leatherwork but the actual metal bits have been put together

Just wanted to say, it’s a shame that this is my first time hearing of you.

I absolutely agree, I’ve been in the VT scene since ‘21 and the people have gotten faker and faker. Gaming the system is exhausting.
It’s a shame we lost another bro because of that, but we have to do what’s best for us.

Don’t worry! Haven’t forgotten about you lot at all! Took an impromptu break from social media so I could go soul-searching, lore-writing etc.

Chapter I of my lore webnovel’s being drafted, and it’s pretty edgy if I’m being honest lol, I’d say we’re about halfway through it

A copy of Tobias Capwell’s book, ‘Masterpieces of European Arms and armour in the Wallace Collection’, sitting on top of a Nord keyboard, cover side up. The cover features the author’s name in plain text, and the title is mixed in bold golden and plain lettering (with EUROPEAN ARMS AND ARMOUR in gold). It features a profile photograph of a 16th Century plate armour harness, bust-up, which boasts an armet, pauldrons with the left bearing a haute piece, and a fully articulated gorget. The armour presented is bordered with ornamental filigree; either brass or gold.

Hey you lot ^^ Happy Holidays

This is largely just another day for me, but I did get another one of Toby Capwell’s books!

Going to be streaming some time next week! Any day is fair game aside from Monday, Wednesday and Friday, since I’m busy on those.

I do wanna play Stalker 2 but I dunno if I’d be able to run OBS & VTS with it at the same time! Amazing game mind

Definitely continuing Baldur’s Gate tho, rest assured

Sorry but uhhhhhhhhhh, I feel like I balled too close to the sun with that, so I deleted it

I appreciate that people seemed to like it, and it goes to show that I’m not shadowbanned on here, but I realised that if I want anything to pop off, it should be my VTuber content and not my RL self haha

Btw this seems to be getting a little further out of its target audience (friends who want updates on my VTuber stuff) so just before it does more numbers,

This is N O T a NSFW account of any kind, I’m just posting progress since I started lol, wanted to clear that up ^^ I appreciate it though!

I got into it because I genuinely enjoy lifting stuff, it’s fun, wasn’t banking on getting big but it’s a nice byproduct

The cover of ‘Armour of the English Knight: An Armourer’s Album’, by Tobias Capwell. It depicts a Knight in early 15th century fullplate harness, mounted on a white horse (presumably a courser), brandishing the haft of a spear/lance. The figure is wearing a great bascinet with a short plume at the crest, a cuirass with a long fauld, a mail shirt beneath, hourglass gauntlets, and arm/leg harnesses that are typical of the period. The foot of the cover shows that it was published by ‘Thomas Del Mar Ltd.’

Hey you lot, morning!

I’m planning on returning to streaming next week! Comic Con Bham’s this weekend and I would have gone if I had the spare money for some figures or something, but alas, I do not.

BUT. Something I preordered a while ago, has now arrived. And it was SO WORTH IT DUDE ^^

Happy to say that we have. OFFICIALLY. Paid the deposit on my arms and legs for my plate harness ^^.

It should be done by January! Seriously looking forward to it!

Like, this sort of shape for the couters and poleyn ‘wings’.

Tbh.

In the new year. I might ask Aki if I can have some of the things from my own real armour, put into my own armour’s design. Cuz we honestly have some great ideas. We’re going to flute the couters and poleyns to look like dragon wings and shit.

Journey to go fetch this was a nightmare, but a nightmare worth braving

We’re brainstorming ideas for arm & leg harnesses to go with this too, but probably won’t be finished until next year

Between getting my cuirass last Friday and finally hitting a full 100lbs set on the chest press machine, I think there’s definitely been a shift in the wind recently.

Second half of BG3 is happening tomorrow probs.

Btw yes, we’re doing BG3 some time either tomorrow evening (Sunday) or next week ^^

I got this class mod that breaks the whole game where you can play as a Celestial. Shield of Faith as a Bonus Action, Booming Blade Cantrip, Revivify Cantrip, Bless as a Class Action, it’s Paladin on steroids

Example English-style leg harnesses made by Steve Lunn. The cuisses (upper leg armour) have prominent barley twists on them, which are characteristic of English plate.

We’re making the arm/leg harnesses in a fashion that’s going to be based around English style plate, so a lot of barley twist fluting on the rerebraces, cuisses etc., he’s already made a couple of pieces with that type of fluting so should turn out great ^^

Lmao it always makes me laugh when characters in this game get absolutely soaked in blood and yet they got that perfectly clean Salon Selectives hair
