Be awesome towards women, toward trans and nonbinary folks in the gay community. There’s no “or” about it. Be cool with it.

All of us are in this together.

I hear from time to time that people who aren’t cis gay dudes often feel unwelcome for it. That kinda really fucking blows.

We should all be able to party hard together.

So I’m going to advocate for more warmth and compassion within this space.

I’m nonbinary— even if I’m leaning a certain way.

There’s a worry I feel about being less accepted in spaces for gay men because I happen to have parts of my identity that are VERY MUCH feminine as well.

And like… I can’t be the only person that feels that way.

I love men. I’m very much gay for men. Bi/pan men exist, too. Trans men exist, too.

Accepting that I have more responsibility to help make gay spaces safer for women and nonbinary folks if I’m going to exist as a not-exactly-binary gay that presents masculine.

Like, I also plan on presenting as feminine on regular occasions, genderfuckery and all that… and like,

So I’m conflicted. There is guilt in the middle of all this because I’m not grieving this family member of mine.

But the turn she took, that hurt and shame I felt when I heard her go on these racist, homophobic diatribes. Those opinions may have always been there.

At least she’s no longer sick…
