I am going to recommend Activation Degradation by Marina Lostetter - it’s especially excellent on audio narrated by Hayden Bishop.

Great writing, thoughtful & philosophical discussions, action, found family, humor, excellent LGBTQ rep, many heartfelt & emotional moments. It’s a very good book!

worth remembering, David Lynch directed “fix your hearts or die” specifically at transphobes. it wasn’t a generic “no mean people allowed” statement, it was said by his Twin Peaks character in defense of a trans woman he cared for and deeply respected.
