My 11-year-old just recited 3.141592653589 on Pi Day.

12 decimal places. Learned it in Algebra 1 and is pumped to memorize as high as possible by Monday. 🤣

Music really is such a great muse, especially at concerts when emotion and excitement are already so high. I once went to a Lady Gaga concert where she kept calling us her little monsters, and apparently my brain said, perfect, let’s make that literal.

Okay, now I’m getting Bridget Jones vibes, and I kind of want to read your book. 💕

Ohhh… that’s beautiful. Newborn days are such a blur of emotion and wonder. Holding them and getting a story idea at the same time feels kind of magical.

I love this! Honestly, the other day my hubby helped me figure out a plot point for the sequel to my current project. Partners really can be great to bounce ideas off of.

Yes! There’s something about walking that seems to wake up story ideas. 💡✨

I hear you… somehow creativity always takes over, and the dishes lose. “Here’s your next plot twist,” says the sparkling fork. 🤣

OMG… 🤣 I’m pretty sure I spit my coffee out. That itself is a story. You could totally turn this into a rom-com.

Bubble magic… all I can envision is my students running around with bubble wands while I’m out here as Ms. Frizzle. 🤣

Oh, I get this. I’m pretty sure I have at least 40 running notes full of story ideas on my end. 😂

Thanks for sharing. I can relate to this deeply. My dreams have always been visceral. I can see my characters in my head down to their sweat and the sound of their voices. With my current project, it grew into the story I always wanted to find on a shelf.

What’s the weirdest place you’ve gotten a story idea?

Writers always have the best stories about this.

Mine’s a feminist noir fantasy with myth-tech elements, strong crossover appeal, and a very slow-burn romantic subplot. It sits between speculative fiction and fantasy, so I definitely feel the genre-blend crossover factor!

My favorite part of the day was watching my son perform in his middle school play Peter Pan.

He was so funny and even added his own hilarious improv. One proud mom. 🎭
