Seems I might need to clarify - Adam is currently playing the Emcee in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club on Broadway. He’s wonderful in the role, a terrific colleague, and a sweetheart. (I’m also in the show, so I heard him do this from my dressing room.)

I once blocked a man on twitter who was tying to impress me with what he thought was a hilarious bit about Last Christmas being an incel song. This made no sense given the lyrics, the video, or, you know, George, but he was sure I would just loooovvve this joke. Absolute wanker.

I am the antithesis of Whamageddon. I don't avoid Last Christmas; I purposely play it very frequently because it's a lovely little song and I don't hate experiencing joy.

I am extremely biased, but I can’t get behind Whamageddon. Imagine purposely depriving yourself of George Michael. Ludicrous. Especially when there are other Christmas songs…you know, ones that are actually bad.
