And we have one planned for St Leonards and nobody seems fussed by this?

#medsky Best video on SARS-COV-2 yet. Good for practioners and laypersons. Dr Maylek is amazing.
Funny and true and well worth a watch, not just because it features friend of the @theshot.net.au @purplepingers.bsky.social!

If you havenβt already read them, these three posts from researchers at the University of Sussex are very interesting. #politas

Oh I love this! Do you have salt on other things? Did you always prefer hot chips without salt?
Iβve been trying to figure out what day this happens because we stumbled on it a few years ago and were able to do sneaky doorstep produce deliveries to a few mates because there was just so much stuff!
Long haired grey and white Smithfield x Koolie dog laying on a black couch his face in side profile showing a crown of some kind of weeds from the back yard wrapped on his head, ears and nose.
Looked up from my tea to see this majestic creature on my couch.
Weβll have to work on providing the smell though π
I love this! And contentment ritual is such a beautiful descriptor. We have a particular lawn on one of our walks that evokes this response and sometimes a lie down in which I just sit on the footpath and admire the view while I wait. I want to send them a thank you card for their lush grass.

I was deeply disappointed by the lack of nature/science/climate/enviro on many major end-of-year book listsβso I decided to make my own!
Introducing: β¨ππ The 2024 Holiday Gift Guide to Nature & Science Books β¨ππ
Please share: Let's make this go viral in time for Black Friday / holiday shopping!
βWhen I was younger, I could sort of tune out the tormented wail of billions of tortured souls, but as Iβve gotten older and experienced burnout, itβs become more distracting.β

Dog that looks like a Jim Henson creation resting head on peach coloured velvet cushion staring intently at a blue and white plate with a knife and fork on it and a partially eaten waffle with berries and yoghurt.
Iβm not begging for food, Iβm just closely supervising.
I am devoid of social skills these days but please pop me in your starter pack x
Thank you Laura, this is a perfect response. β€οΈππ₯³
How do you even respond to that?
Sorry for rant xx
Thatβs reads weird π³
I just meant psychologically it must be so hard when every health professional you come across doesnβt acknowledge it. Her school is about to perform dances with many different schools coming together to practice in poorly ventilated spaces where they wonβt even crack a window.
Please send him my support x
I remember when my dermatologist stopped masking earlier this year and it broke my heart as it had made me feel less alone that they were previously hardcore about masks, but this time, at reception, she said with distaste, βugh, you donβt need to wear that anymore!β
Nice to see you too! X
Would you believe I saw you crossing the street just a few days ago and almost yelled howdy from the car β€οΈ
Hi Millie, ME/CFS for 30 years, baseline got smashed after vaccines and havenβt got back to where I was. Have been masking indoors and crowded outdoor spaces since borders reopened, but have teenager who doesnβt mask so constantly on edge to be honest! (But I totally understand the social pressure)
Will keep an eye out x
Oh my, Iβm so glad you did this! My daughters have told me about some doozies and I so wanted to see them all! My youngest (17) came home with one because she liked the colours. I asked her to research the words and images, and it was promptly figured out it wasnβt remotely appropriate to wear π
Sorry, maybe you couldnβt hear them over our dog barking? π³
Heβs been letting our neighbourhood know since around 5am that there is thunder and lightning. (Not much in the way of rain yet thoughβ¦)
Same same, like chest exploding sobbing. Itβs a big response, but it feels appropriate, even though itβs entirely out of my control.
And then I started sharing bits and pieces that Iβd written here and there. I couldnβt really edit them or think too much about them or theyβd turn to ash or smoke and get carried away on the winds of inspiration to someone else who would love them unconditionally. So I just let them be.
I shared an essay with a friend. I canβt really remember what it was about? Maybe what it meant to be responsible in this world? I canβt recall. Anyway, he really liked it and didnβt care that it was far from brilliant. So I trained myself not to care either.
Ah, so itβs my version of toast and butter. Makes sense now π x
Is this like the, are you a socks or no socks kind of autistic? Because Iβve never been able to eat plain pasta, it doesnβt make sense to me. Genuinely, please explain to me the attractiveness of plain pasta, because I feel like itβs closer to wet cardboard than foodβ¦ I need to understand. Xx
