Also glad I'm able to sleep and type (in the right _positions_) but not stoked about missing work this week. Can't lift any weight with the arm, can't even raise the arm to put hand in pocket, itch face or fix hair, arm is basically useless to me unless it is in one or two specific spots
A silver lining, you ask? A cool skill about me is that when I fall asleep with my laptop on my chest, whether in bed or on couch, I never roll over or throw computer onto ground. I wake up wide-eyed around 2 or 3, calmly take machine off me, and go back to sleep.
Sprained or broke something in my shoulder playing beach volleyball yesterday (sand still hard & diving for balls looks alot easier on TV). Nearly cut fingertip off with dull knife. Burned self taking goods outta the oven. Fell asleep (2nd consecutive night) with Ghost in the Shell on chest.

one real problem with there being a sum total of 17 jobs in media is there’s so much pressure to make every piece “good” and “smart” and “important.” this is terrible for me both professionally and as a reader
