The worst part about my brain is when it forgets the words I need just before Iβm about to say them.
Itβs in archive.org
My week is packed as hell and I havenβt even reached the worst of it so itβs like Iβm looking at a tsunami just waiting for it to hit me.
Since I been going to cosplay events recently and meeting people who love shows so much they are dress as them, I have been watching shows that I had in my backlog. So for those interested, both stardust crusaders and Umamusume live up to their reputation as great shows filled with fun characters.
*the draft didnβt save this but Iβm referring to DC K.O. #5.
interesting to see continued
I also enjoyed Batman, AF, Xm, TA, JSA and SW:SOM.
Well, happy IWD, you all more than deserve it.
This is going to be a hell of a week so I might say less than usual but Iβll try to comment if I came across anything interesting.
Have a good week everyone.

Absolute Superman 17:
Speaking of messed up, this issue follows in the footsteps of AB and introduces a more extreme of a classic villain, in this case parasite.
I loved how more extreme powers allowed to conclude the hawkman storyline in a somewhat unexpected but satisfying way that will be very
It was really cool how the last couple of pages connected with New history and the all in special for the farkseid reveal, even if the promise of a crisis has me worried because DC is in pretty good place continuity wise right now and a new crisis might unnecessarily shake it and mess it up.
Speaking of Superman, I really enjoyed the ending of the doomsday Time Trapper, especially due to how itβs connected to main Superman book, which made realize how itβs a real pro move to write a definite ending to this version of doomsday while having a second present version ready to use.
bit to similar to Death Metal but with less impact because that one set a entire soft relaunch while this is simply a new initiative.
Specking of endings, Supermanβs was quite similar to his in All Star Superman and Dianaβs in Death Metal which is a very interesting parallel that a lot of promise.
the third of the Snyderβs metal epics, The return of the metal if you will or more fittingly Dark nights: darkseid drift, since it has a distinct style from the other two.
Nevertheless it still has quite a number of similarities some of which donβt quite reach the mark for example the ending felt a
The weekβs now over so itβs time to talk about the most memorable comics I read during it.
This was my favorite book this week and the one I most want to talk about. One of the main reasons why it was my favorite was because this unpredictable series resolved itself by revealing that itβs actually
So in case it wasnβt obvious, I really enjoyed this mini and it deepened my appreciation for magik to the point that Iβm willing to follow her into the team books and big events that she was involved in. So Iβll get to those soon but before Iβll have to talk about the books I most enjoyed this week.
appearances and being curious about her origin.
Because in this story you slowly see a lot of Magikβs most notable elements being slowly added to her during her childhood, which because itβs so tragic, adds a very dramatic dimension to her teleporting abilities and her use of the soul sword.
allows for the inconsistencies between this book and the other to be less noticeable but I digress
One of the main things that most fascinated about this story was how because the story is being told by Illyana after the fact it somewhat matches my experience of knowing her from her more recent
I decided to read some of Illyanaβs initial appearances in the x-men books for context and that turned out to be an excellent idea because those were practically essential to fully appreciate this story, which makes it really baffling that they werenβt included in most of the trades.
That at least
from what I was told, she appeared mostly in team books with very long runs filled with lots of chararcters and I was only realy interested in her.
Long story short, Iβve been able to read longer runs so I decided to read her standalone story before diving into those.
Also before reading this book
As a change of pace from what I been reading recently, also because I been planing to read it for some time, I read the original Magik Miniseries.
As I said I wanted to read it since i enjoyed her apperances in some of the more recent marvel games but unfortunatley that hit a road block because
I donβt know what international ONU law mandated it, but the music in every gym I ever set foot in is either outdated, terrible or both.
Man, the shorter breaks during school time are really allowing me to catch up on whatever comics, I was interested in. Iβd swear Iβve read entire volumes in like a day.
Now that Iβm making an effort to get more involved in local events, Iβm always having the bad luck of those happening close to each other. I guess at least that reduces my problem of filling like a day is filled if I do one activity.
Despite those kibbles, as a prequel to the rest of the run, this story is still very well made, with wonderful art and writing that give this origin story a very epic and cinematic feel.
Well, now Iβve covered this story the next step is going to be the stories that lead up to blackest night.
stories from the rest of the run.
Itβs a bit messy with which moment of the origin it chooses to retell, especially since it also takes time to establish atrocious and the black hand. It feels weird that it doesnβt show the betrail of Sinestro but I guess the sinestro was special already did that.
collected a whole bunch of times and it even served as the main inspiration for the Reynolds movie, but unfortunately I felt it didnβt live up those expectations.
That mostly stemmed from the fact that I felt that it didnβt work as a standalone origin because it prioritized showing the roots of the
After a way too long pause I am going to return to sharing my thoughts on Johnsβs Green Lantern, so now I am going to talk about the prequel story secret origins.
This was actually a one of the stories that was most looking forward to read from this run since itβs the one that Iβve seen being
I havenβt mentioned before but Iβve recently really gotten into gorilaz and as luck would have it, they just released a new album which in a nice twist culminates a whole bunch of ideas from all the other previous albums. Itβs also pretty sweet and has tons of songs that I canβt get out of my head.
books together into a a messy package with quite good art. Letβs hope this event doesnβt derail itself before its end like previous ones.
I also enjoyed AMM, Superman, JLU, IM, VR, Pns, Spmn&Wvr, NHotDCU:
TDI, P:N, IXF, W:WR, Capes, UM:PotO, P:B and STD:ToD.
I hope next week is better for all. SYA
putting them in incredibly fun scenarios.
Capes #4:
This book continues to be a very fun time capsule that retroactively allows us to explore the invisible universe before a lot of it breaks.
Amazing Spider-Man / Venom:
Death Spiral #1
Starts this little event by machining all the main spidey
